November 14- Jerome D. Ryans- President & CEO at the Tampa Housing Authority Boasting a remarkable tenure spanning over three decades in the housing sector, Jerome D. Ryans assumed the role of President & CEO at the Tampa Housing Authority in 1998, marking the commencement of a transformative era. Under his astute leadership, the organization witnessed significant advancements in property enhancements, community revitalization, resident empowerment programs, strategic private partnerships, civic engagement, and the development of a competent housing workforce. As the ultimate authority responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Tampa Housing Authority, Jerome oversees the implementation of policies, programs, and procedures. This entails ensuring strict adherence to the comprehensive guidelines set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), further solidifying his leadership at the agency. Jerome's influence is strongly felt at the Assisted Housing Department, a cornerstone of the Tampa Housing Authority's operations. The department extends vital subsidized rental assistance to approximately 12,000 families across Hillsborough County, establishing its stature as Florida's second-largest program of its kind.
