| This is the first of four our impressive and challenging par 5 holes. With a narrow fairway and tight out-of-bounds all down the left side, the tee shot can make or break the hole. Traversing the 491 yard to the hole, you will have to negotiate a slight uphill lie all the way to the crest of the hill which is about 125 yards short of the green. With a heavily bunkered left side of the green, players are better to keep to the right side. |

| The goliath hole is among the longest holes in the country and stories of players reaching the green in two are the stuff of legend. The drive does not have to be perfect. Just keep it in play (you can’t get home anyway). The out-of-bounds down the left side puts just enough pressure on the player who wants his third shot from inside 150. If the hole’s length doesn’t make if hard enough, the bunker-protected green has a false front and some serious breaks. |

The average golfer will have a blind 200-yard shot into one of the most difficult greens on the course. With only one green-side bunker, you would think missing the green would not be too penal, but you would be mistaken. If you miss the green right you had better summon all your short game skills. Even that may not be enough to save par. |

| Once deemed “A Golfing Waterloo” by a 1931 Philadelphia Inquirer sportswriter, this hole has many perils but can be tamed by cautious play. It was built between two old iron mines. Your tee shot must carry the first quarry and the second quarry guards the whole left side. The small green has a deep bunker on the left and a shallow bunker on the right that will actually stop your ball from entering the quarry. It is a deceptively challenging and picturesque hole. |

| Redesigned in the 1920s by William Flynn, this hole has everything a golfer could ask for. The wide, gently sloping fairway is welcoming to a well-placed tee ball. If you are fortunate enough to avoid the pond on the right, your next shot is when things get interesting. our first glimpse of the green from the fairway shows more pond than fairway. With that pond and out-of-bounds left of the green, only the best and bravest try for the green in two from an uneven lie. If you avoid the creek, pond, and fairway bunker you have earned a short approach into a small green. |

| The railroad hole has run along the Reading Rail Line for nearly 100 years. The tracks are on the left and obviously out of bounds. The fairway is generous, but bad shots are stiffly punished by the three fairway bunkers and water hazard. Your approach has to make it over a large bunker 20 yards short of a green that sits below fairway height. |

| Precision is the name of the game here. A sharp dogleg right climbs back out of the old iron quarry to the elevated green. The long hitters have no advantage on this hole so long as you can carry the creek 210 yards off the tee. The longer you hit the tee ball the more sloped the fairway will be for your approach. Two well-placed shots can get you to the putting green if you are not too aggressive. If you miss the green to the right, you will find yourself climbing back into the quarry. |
